Bookings
How a driver reserves charging time at a connector in advance, what the booking fee does, and exactly when that fee is refunded or forfeited.
Availability: gated per location; not every location offers advance reservations.
Reserving time slots
Locations that take reservations are marked as bookable in the app, and the map can be filtered to show only bookable locations. At such a location the driver selects a connector and taps Book instead of starting a session, then picks one or more time slots.
Each location defines its own bookable hours, slot duration, and fees, all shown in the location's booking details before anything is paid, which is why two locations in the same deployment can offer different booking terms or none at all. Several slots can be reserved in one booking, but they must be consecutive; a selection with gaps in it is not accepted. If another driver takes a slot between selection and confirmation, the app reports the conflict and asks for different times rather than silently double-booking.

The booking fee
The booking fee is charged per reserved slot, so a booking of three slots pays the fee three times. It is paid when the booking is made, by card or from Wallet credit in deployments that include a Wallet.
Pricing for a booked session can differ from a Walk-in session at the same location; the location presents both under its pricing details, so the difference is visible before committing to a reservation.
Some locations include free energy with a booking: a set number of kWh at no cost, granted either per booking or once across the whole booking. Where it applies, the amount is stated on the booking screen.
Presence and cut-off times
A booking only survives if the driver actually turns up. Each booking carries a cut-off time shortly after the slot starts; arriving at the location later than that cancels the booking automatically and forfeits the fee. The exact cut-off is displayed before the booking is confirmed and again in the booking details, so the deadline is never hidden.
Where the location's cancellation rule applies per slot and several slots were booked, presence is required at the start of each slot, and the booking details list a separate cut-off time for every one of them.
Around the moment a booked slot begins, two situations differ:
- A session already running on the connector when the slot starts continues into it automatically; the driver does not stop, reconnect, or restart anything.
- If no session is running, the car must be reconnected before the slot starts. The app shows when the booking begins and reminds the driver that reconnecting before then is what starts the booked session.

Idle fees on booked sessions
The Idle fee works identically on booked and walk-in sessions; there is no separate fee type for bookings. Once charging finishes and the car stays plugged in, a grace period runs first, and a push notification arrives immediately with the exact number of minutes left to move the car and avoid the fee. Moving it within that window means the fee is refunded in full; if it stays past the window, the fee is charged and a second notification confirms it.
Canceling and refunds
Three outcomes exist, and they differ in who acted:
- The driver cancels in the app. The booking fee is forfeited, and the app states this before the cancellation is confirmed. The fee paid for holding the connector, and the connector was in fact held and unavailable to other drivers up to that point.
- The operator cancels the booking, or the driver asks the operator to cancel it. The fee is refunded to the payment method, typically within 24 hours, and the app confirms both the cancellation and the refund. The location's support contact shown in the app is the route for a cancellation request; the refund is issued once the operator processes the cancellation, which is why it is stated as within 24 hours rather than instant.
- The booking is missed. Past the cut-off time the booking is canceled automatically, the slot is released to other drivers, and the fee remains non-refundable.
Important
Deleting a payment method that has bookings attached cancels all of those bookings, and the fees already paid are not refunded. The app warns before the deletion goes through; keeping the payment method until the bookings have run is the only way to keep them.
Common questions
What does a driver see when a connector is already booked by someone else? The connector shows that it is booked until a given time, with the suggestion to charge on another plug at the location or to book this one for a later window.
Can a booking collide with a walk-in driver who is still plugged in? The app works to prevent it: a walk-in driver whose charging has finished ahead of someone else's booking is told to move the car before the booked slot begins, on top of the normal idle fee pressure to unplug.
Why is the fee kept when the driver cancels but returned when the operator does? The fee compensates for the time the connector was reserved and held unavailable to others. When the driver walks away from the reservation, that hold still happened at their request; when the operator cancels, the driver loses the slot through no action of their own, so the fee goes back.
