Sessions

Every charging session in one list: filters and search, exports, the session action menu, stopping an ongoing session, and upcoming bookings.

The Sessions section provides access to the complete history and details of all charging sessions.
From here, operators can review transactions, open a full detail view of any session, stop an ongoing session remotely, run an AI analysis of what happened during a charge, export reports, and manage upcoming bookings.

Sessions Overview

At the top of the page, you'll find a filter panel that allows you to narrow the session list by:

  • Status (e.g., Completed, Failed, In Progress)
  • Type (e.g., Walk-in, Booking)
  • Payment method
  • Location (specific charger or site)

You can use the search bar in the top-right corner to quickly locate specific sessions. The search matches the session ID, the user's name, email, or user number, the location name, and the operator name, so a support ticket usually contains enough to find the exact session in one step.

💡

Tip

Combine filters and search terms (e.g., a user's name, location, or date) to narrow down your results efficiently.

Exporting Session Data

Next to the search bar is the Export button.
You can export detailed session data within a selected date range (up to 30 days).

📊

Note

The export function allows you to group kWh usage and session statistics across multiple custom timeframes, which is useful for billing cycles or energy reports.

Exported data is downloaded as a CSV file, ready to open in Excel or import into accounting systems.

Session Actions

Each session includes an action menu on the right-hand side with the following options:

  • Download Session Log: retrieve the detailed charger communication log for diagnostics or auditing.
  • View Session Insights: open Session Insights, the session's full detail page, with a complete breakdown of the charge, the user, the payment, and the charger involved (see the Session details guide).
  • Stop session: shown for sessions that are currently in progress. Ends the session remotely, see below.
  • Download invoice: shown for finished sessions that have an invoice. Downloads the session's invoice as a PDF, ready to share with the driver or attach to a support reply.
💡

Recommendation

Use Session Insights regularly to verify pricing models and monitor charger performance accuracy.

Stopping an Ongoing Session

Sessions with the In Progress status can be stopped remotely, either from the action menu in the Sessions list or from the session's own detail page. You'll be asked to confirm before anything happens; once confirmed, the stop takes effect immediately and the driver's charge ends.

⚠️

Important

If the charger is offline at the time, Spark warns you before you confirm: the session will be ended in Spark, but the disconnected charger may continue charging until it comes back online. Use this option on a disconnected charger only when you need to close the session record, and verify on site if actual charging must stop.

Session details

Selecting View Session Insights opens the session's detail page: the summary bar, the charging, user, payment, and charger cards, and the Session Intelligence analysis. It has its own guide: see Session details.

Upcoming Sessions

Any upcoming sessions booked via the Smart Booking feature will appear in this section (see the Booking guide for how bookings work).
Operators can view, track, and manage all scheduled bookings directly from the dashboard.

On the right-hand side, CPOs can manage or cancel future bookings using the dropdown menu.

⚠️

Important

Cancelling a booking will automatically notify the affected driver through the EOSVOLT app and adjust availability for that time slot.

Common questions

How do I find a specific driver's charging sessions?
Type the driver's name, email, or user number into the search bar on the Sessions page. You can also search by session ID, location name, or operator name.

How do I stop a charging session that is still running?
Open the action menu next to any In Progress session (or the session's detail page) and choose Stop session, then confirm. See Stopping an Ongoing Session for what happens when the charger is offline.

How do I find out why a session failed or delivered 0 kWh?
Open the session's detail page and click Analyse session logs under Session Intelligence, see the Session Intelligence guide. For the complete raw record, use Download Session Log from the Sessions list.

Why can't I analyse a session?
Analysis is available once a session has finished, for sessions under 24 hours, and only when Session Intelligence is enabled for your organisation. The card tells you which condition applies.

How do I export session data for reporting or billing?
Click Export next to the search bar, choose a date range of up to 30 days, and you'll receive a CSV file with the session data and kWh statistics.

How do I download a driver's invoice for a session?
Open the action menu next to a finished session and choose Download invoice. The option appears when the session has an invoice.
