Price profiles
The Price Profiles section lets operators create reusable charging prices and assign them to locations or chargers.
From here, you can manage flat kWh prices, component-based kWh prices, per-minute prices, per-hour prices, and live pricing.
Overview
Each price profile belongs to one operator and uses that operator's currency and tax settings.
Price profiles can be assigned to:
- Locations
- Chargers
If both a location and a charger have a price profile, the charger-level profile is used.
Use location-level profiles as the default setup, and only apply charger-level profiles when a specific charger needs different pricing.
Available profile types
When creating a profile, you can choose one of the following types.
Price per kWh · Flat
Set one main price per kWh.
You can also add optional custom prices by time of day.
Price per kWh · Component
Build the final kWh price from these components:
- Electricity costs
- Usage fee
- Revenue share rate
The form includes separate values for:
- Shared
- Dedicated
The final price per kWh is calculated automatically from these values.
Component profiles do not support custom time-of-day price rules.
Price per min
Set one main price per minute.
You can also add optional custom prices by time of day.
Price per hour
Set one main price per hour.
You can also add optional custom prices by time of day.
Live prices
Use live electricity pricing with editable tariff and refund fields.
The form includes:
- Raw spot price
- Electricity price supplement
- Electricity tariff
- System tariff
- Net tariff
- Transport costs - Net tarif C
- Refund rate
The current spot price is fetched automatically, and the form shows a calculated total price preview.
Creating a price profile
- Go to Price profiles.
- Click Add new price profile.
- Select the pricing type.
- If you manage multiple operators, choose the Operator.
- Enter a Price profile alias.
- Complete the fields for the selected type.
- Click Save.
After saving, the profile appears in the list as Active.
Custom prices by time of day
Custom time-of-day rules are available for:
- Price per kWh · Flat
- Price per min
- Price per hour
To add custom prices:
- Enable Time of day in the form.
- Add one or more time periods.
- Set a start time, end time, and price for each period.
Hours without a matching custom rule use the main price.
Overnight periods are also supported, for example 22:00 to 06:00.
Use time-of-day rules only for the periods that need different pricing. All remaining hours continue to use the main price automatically.
Assigning a price profile
Price profiles can be assigned while editing:
- A location
- A charger
When a price profile is selected on a location, the legacy product-based pricing on that form is cleared.
When a charger has its own price profile, that profile is used instead of the location profile.
Managing existing profiles
The price profile list includes:
- Profile alias
- Type
- Main price or Market price
- Number of configured time periods
- Number of assigned locations
- Number of assigned chargers
- Status
From this view, you can also:
- Search profiles
- Filter by type
- Filter by status
- Duplicate a profile
- Edit a profile
- Delete a profile
By default, the list shows Active profiles.
Editing a profile
If a profile is already assigned, saving changes does not overwrite the existing version.
Instead, a new active version is created and the linked locations and chargers are reassigned to that version.
This keeps the previous profile version available for existing pricing history.
Duplicating a profile
Use Duplicate to create a new profile based on an existing one.
The pricing setup is copied, but a new alias is required before saving.
Deleting a profile
Deleting a price profile does not remove it permanently.
The profile is set to Inactive and removed from the default list view.
If the profile is still assigned, you may be required to select a replacement profile before the assignment is moved.
Best practices
- Use clear aliases so profiles are easy to identify during assignment.
- Keep charger-level overrides to a minimum unless a charger needs different pricing.
- Review live pricing fields regularly if you use spot-price based pricing.
- Use duplication when creating seasonal or campaign-based variants.
Common questions
Where can price profiles be assigned? To locations and chargers.
Which assignment wins if both are set? The charger-level profile overrides the location-level profile.
Can I use time-of-day pricing on every profile type? No. It is available only for flat kWh, per-minute, and per-hour profiles.
What happens to hours without a custom rule? The main price is used.
What happens when I edit an assigned profile? A new version is created and the linked locations and chargers are reassigned.
What happens when I delete a profile? The profile is set to inactive. If it is still in use, a replacement profile may be required during deletion.
