Locations

The Locations tab of Charge points: every charging site under your account, and the location detail view with its overview stats, access list, booking, chargers, load balancing, and charging history.

The Locations tab lists every registered charging site under your account. Each entry shows:

  • Location name
  • Type (Public, Semi-public, or Private)
  • Chargers: total number of chargers at the site
  • Plugs: total number of connectors
  • Price: the assigned pricing setup for the location
  • Status: whether the location is Open or Closed

You can search the list, filter by type and status, and click Add location to create a new site.

The location detail view

Clicking a location opens its detail view, organised into tabs:

Overview

The location's dashboard: stat cards for consumption in kWh, revenue, customers, sessions, and average session length over a selectable range, followed by the location's core information:

  • Location details: address, type, pricing, and other site settings.
  • Support: the support contact details shown to drivers for this location. Keep these current, they are what drivers see when they need help at the charger.
  • Opening hours: when the location is available for charging.
  • Location image: the photo shown to drivers in the app.
  • Amenities: what drivers can do nearby while charging. Click Edit to pick from the built-in list (Restroom, Restaurant, Cafe, Wi-Fi, Parking, and more) and add up to 6 custom entries of your own. Amenities appear on the location's detail screen in the app, and drivers can filter the map by them; see Creating a location for the full list.
  • App visibility: whether and how the location appears in the driver app.

Locations with load balancing configured also show a live phase monitoring strip at the top, with the current load, buffer, and breaker headroom per electrical phase, so you can see at a glance how close the site is to its limits.

Access

Shown for semi-public locations: manage the list of users who are allowed to charge at this site.

Booking

Configure booking rules for the location if you offer reservable charging through Smart Booking. See the Booking guide for how bookings work end to end.

Chargers

All chargers installed at this location, with the same status view and action menu as the Commercial chargers tab. This is usually the fastest place to work when you know which site has a problem.

Load balancing

For sites with limited grid capacity: distribute the available power across the location's chargers, set breaker limits and buffers per phase, and schedule different limits for different times of day. Changes here drive the phase monitoring strip on the Overview tab. The Load Balancing guide covers the full setup.

Charging history

Every charging session that has taken place at this location, so you can review site activity without leaving the page. For the full cross-location session history, use the Sessions section.
