Internal & External Fleets
Overview
EOSVOLT lets you manage both your own vehicles and customer fleets from the same backend. Internal and External fleets share the same tools: Teams, Member Discounts, Charge Keys, Cars, and Drivers. Billing behavior is determined by the grouping you use:
- Team means offline billing to the organization.
- Member Discount means online, in-app payment by the driver.
Internal Fleets
Internal fleets are for vehicles owned or operated by your organization, such as company cars, employee fleets, or service vans.
Key characteristics
- Managed under your own account
- Use Teams for centrally billed operations
- Use Member Discounts when drivers should pay in the app
- Supports cost allocation per site, department, or vehicle
Example: Your maintenance department charges on a Team with offline billing, while visiting staff use a Member Discount and pay in the app.
External Fleets
External fleets are for vehicles owned by customers or partners that you onboard and manage in your EOSVOLT platform.
Key characteristics
- Managed as separate external companies
- Use Teams for client accounts that prefer central invoicing
- Use Member Discounts for clients whose drivers pay per session in the app
- Data, pricing, and billing remain isolated per customer
Example: A logistics client runs its operations on a Team with offline billing, while a group of loyalty customers uses Member Discounts so drivers pay directly in the app.
