Commercial chargers
Chargers for public charging networks and business operators: drivers pay your location's tariff, and you monitor status, usage, and revenue from the Commercial chargers tab.
A commercial charger is designed for public charging networks and business operators. Commercial chargers belong to a location, and they follow the location's settings such as visibility and idle fee. Pricing can come from the location or from a price profile assigned directly to the charger.
Adding a commercial charger
Commercial chargers are added under their location: Charge Points → your location → Chargers → Add Charger, then connected over OCPP. The full connection walkthrough is in Adding a charger.
Managing commercial chargers
The Commercial chargers tab lists every OCPP-connected commercial charger across your locations: charge box ID and alias, location, serial, brand and model, plugs with live per-plug status, total kWh, sessions, revenue, and status (Open, Offline, Closed, Out of order, Registering).
Each charger's action menu covers day-to-day operations: Edit, Reboot, Toolkit (see OCPP Toolkit), Download logs, Download QR codes, View charger insights, and Delete. The same list and actions are also available per location under the location's Chargers tab: see Charge points.
Pricing
Commercial chargers can use:
- The location's pricing setup
- A Price profile assigned directly to the charger
If both are set, the charger's own Price profile is used.
See Creating a location and Price Profiles.
Common questions
How do drivers pay at a commercial charger? Through the app at the charger's active pricing setup, or by card at chargers with a payment terminal (see Payment terminals).
Where do I set the price? On the charger's location or by assigning a Price profile directly to the charger.
Which pricing setup is used if both the location and charger have one? The charger's own Price profile is used.
How do I take a commercial charger out of service temporarily? Use Change availability in the OCPP Toolkit for a single plug, or Reboot/Edit from the charger's action menu. See Charge points for the status meanings.
