Accepting card payments directly at the charger with Payter, Nayax, and Vourity terminals: how to get a terminal set up, and how terminal-paid sessions appear in your session history.
A payment terminal lets drivers pay by card (tap-to-pay) directly at the charger, without the app or a registered account. EOSVOLT supports multiple models from Payter, Nayax, and Vourity.
Getting a terminal set up
Terminal integrations vary by brand and model (some integrate via OCPI, others through dedicated integrations), so setup is done together with EOSVOLT: contact your account manager or EOSVOLT support to order terminals or to pair delivered hardware with your chargers. Support will confirm which terminal models fit your chargers and handle the integration.
How terminal payments work for the driver
- The driver taps their card on the terminal.
- A pre-authorization is reserved on the card.
- Charging runs as a normal session.
- When the session ends, the final amount is captured and the rest of the pre-authorization is released.
Terminal sessions in your backend
Terminal-paid sessions appear in Sessions like any other session: filter by payment method to isolate them. The session's detail page shows the full payment breakdown: pre-authorized amount, captured amount, and the fee build-up. Anonymous terminal sessions have no registered user attached.
Common questions
Can drivers charge without the app? Yes. At chargers with a payment terminal they tap a card and charge as guests; no account is needed.

How do I get a terminal for my location? Contact your account manager or EOSVOLT support. Integration is set up together with the team, since it varies by terminal model.
How do I see which sessions were paid at the terminal? Filter the Sessions list by payment method.
Why does the driver see a higher amount reserved on their card? That is the pre-authorization hold; only the actual charge amount is captured when the session ends, and the remainder is released by their bank within a few days.
A driver at a terminal was charged but says they didn't charge. Find the session via the Sessions search (by location and time), open its detail page, and check the payment card: it shows what was reserved, captured, and refunded.
